Our Foundation
Everyone deserves and opportunity to lead a rewarding, healthy, and productive life. The Heritage Foundation is dedicated to providing the highest level of dignified, safe, confidential, therapeutic, effective and targeted programs to our clients every day. A non-profit organization established in the state of Georgia in 1989, The Heritage Foundation provides prevention, education, intervention, and treatment services throughout southwest Georgia.
OUR EVolution
Originally founded to promote positivity in the lives of African Americans, The Heritage Foundation broadened our focus in 1994 after discovering far more deeply-rooted generational, psycho-social and behavioral issues plaguing the family unit. Since our inception, we have received in excess of $3 million of both private and public funding to build our programs, which include both in-patient and out-patient support.
OUR MISSION
Today, our mission is to promote a safe and therapeutic environment through an array of programs that help people develop and thrive, removing the barriers they may face. Specifically, we develop initiatives that address the proliferation of substance abuse among youth, spawning nationally-recognized programs for prevention, in-home counseling, and case management for adolescents and families.
